2 Great Low Impact Exercises
2 Great Low Impact Exercises
If you are looking to start an exercising regiment, but are concerned
about injuries, one of the ways to decrease the risk of injury is to
work out using low impact exercises. Low impact exercises limit the
amount of punishment your body must receive in order to participate in
a certain amount of exercise. Two great low impact exercises are
walking and swimming.
Waling is possibly the best low impact exercise. Not only can everyone
participate in walking, it is also a great way to exercise the major
muscle groups, cardiovascular group and lose lots of calories in the
process. You can easily walk 20 minutes per day to an hour a day to
receive all the great benefits of walking. You don’t need any
special equipment either, just a comfortable pair of shoes or sneakers.
Another great low impact exercise is swimming. There are many health
clubs and gyms that offer public pools. You can easily take a leisurely
swim or swim laps for a more intense exercise regiment. Swimming uses
all the major muscle groups and there is a very low risk of injury. It
is always a good idea to consult with a physician whenever starting an
exercise regiment, however if you are looking for two great low impact
exercises, look into walking and swimming on a regular basis.
